The British sent 1,400 soldiers to claim it from the French. The British lost with two thirds of the soldiers dying.
The British captured Canada from the French.
Britan and France signed a treaty that ended the seven-year war that gave Britan Canada.
The Proclamation of 1763 was a line that went along the Apalation Mountains that the colonists could not cross.
Grenville proposed the stamp act that made colonists buy a stamp for every piece of paper that they bought.
The Stamp Act was repealed after mounths of protest from the colonists
After the stamp act was repealed the colonists got angry about the quartering act the forced colonists to let soldiers live in their houses.
The New York assembly did not give any funds for salt, vinegar and liquor for the soldiers.
Then the British government retaliated by refusing to let the New York assembly meet until they agreed to the Quartering Act.
Charles Townshend "(Champagne Charlie)" persuaded the Parliament to pass the Townshend Acts which put taxes on certain British goods.
