Airlines are paying more to keep pilots with there companies. They are offering sign on bonuses for new pilots. And they are giving school reimbursement to new recruits.
The Air force is asking there pilots to stay because the military is also being impacted by the shortage. Unlike commercial airliners, military pilots have to have uncorrected 20/20 vision and other qualifications.
