The french and indian war started may17, 1754 in Canada. It was fought because both both the french and british wanted control over the Ohio River Valley.
They wanted the Ohio River Valley because of its economical power and trading points. It took place in the areas of the great lakes of michigan, Canada and missisipi river. The leader of the war were George Washington, Edward Braddock, James Wolfe, Benjamin Franklin, William Pitt, Pontiac, Louis montcalm. After 9 years the war ended on February 10, 1763 in the signing of the treaty of paris. British won the war.
