during this time Addams would give speeches nationally about hull house along with
the female reformers that she worked with. Addams was also a successful lobbyist,
she helped establish a juvenile court system, protective labour legislation for women,
better urban sanitation and factory laws, and she also advocated for more playgrounds
and kindergartens in Chicago.
