En 601/1204–5, Yaḥyā se rendit à Qafṣa pour recevoir des serments de loyauté et des otages de bonne volonté de certains chefs arabes Sulaymī. Cette démarche visait à renforcer son autorité et à solidifier ses alliances dans la région.
