Gamicon, conceived by EverdreamSoft in 2018, emerged as 'a pioneering vision in blockchain gaming'.

Introduced at the Game Developers Conference, Gamicon aimed to democratize blockchain technology in the gaming industry by creating a shared ecosystem for game developers to issue collectibles on Counterparty.

Stated on EverdreamSoft's website, 'The Gamicon Collection is a collection of Blockchain assets created exclusively for blockchain in gaming events. The BitCrystals Blockchain Platform allows you to easily create and share your own limited-edition digital asset. You can use your token in different manners: - To promote your game and/or your art creation - Branding opportunity for VIP events - Exclusive giveaway to your community - Unique collector item Create a rare limited-edition digital blockchain asset or collect unique art creations!'

Despite initial market hesitation, the project pressed on, focusing on onboarding game developers as early adopters.

Gaming partners included in the collection are as follows:

- Colorful Darkness (tokens: SEIKOSHIRO, JUSTJANE, JACKFEARON, HELENASIK).

- Karios Games (tokens: KERAS, SIIL, TRELLAS, GRUNDGY, HOPHOP, RHINOKARIOS, ELEFAT, EGGFACE).

- Nimbatus Team (token: NIMBATUS).

- Baba Yuga Team (token : BABAYUGA).

- Optical (token: INDRIK).

- Other tokens in the collection such as YUMMYPICNIC, YUMMYRAFT and YUMMYISLAND were created by EverdreamSoft to promote the game 'A table!' they were working on. This game was supposed to be released on Ethereum but 'the sales didn't complete the goals and [EverdreamSoft] decided to not work further on it.' - The token named GDCNOVADEMO was the asset created for the demo of Nova (EverdreamSoft's asset tool creator) during the GDC 2018 (Game Developer Conference).
