Nezu and the U.A. faculty reveal that the practical test will be mock battles between students and teachers. Students are in teams of two and must work together to fight one of their teachers, who will be playing the villain role for this exercise. All partners and match-ups are assigned ahead of time and students are pitted against teachers whom they are at a disadvantage against.

Although, even though the students are initially told that the teachers will fight their hardest, the teachers are handicapped with weights, and they will intentionally leave at least one path to victory available for the students.
