The General Assembly

Guided by the UN Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the Geneva Convention of 12 August 1949:

Recalling various Security Council and General Assembly resolutions, as well as reports from the Special Committee investigating Israeli practices in occupied territories:

Expresses appreciation to the Special Committee for its efforts;

Urges Israel to implement the Committee's recommendations and comply with international obligations under the Geneva Convention and other relevant resolutions;

Requests the Special Committee to continue its work, consult with the International Committee of the Red Cross, and ensure the protection of human rights in occupied territories;

Calls on Israel to cooperate with and facilitate the Special Committee’s work;

Requests the Committee to report to the Secretary-General as needed;

Requests the Secretary-General to provide necessary support for the Committee’s work;

Decides to include the Special Committee’s report on the agenda of its twenty-sixth session.
