Zheng Zu escapes Taluo for attempting to usurp Yu Huang, stealing the mystical Ten Rings when he goes. Heartbroken, bitter, and angry, Zheng starts building a cult around him. It begins to grow in numbers, intent on curtailing the influence of both the Qing government and that of foreigners, particularly Christians. He calls his organization the Celestial Order of the Ten Rings.
