The Earth is settled by the Shi’ar Empire as a foothold in the Milky Way and jumping point to settle other colonies in the galaxy. Six settlements are established by the Shi'ar: in Germany, in the Altai Mountains, in Eastern Antarctica, in South America, in North America, and on the far side of the moon. The moon colony is the space port, feeding teleportation to the other locations.
