PRODUCTION: Doc About Serbian Production Designer Kreka in Production

BELGRADE: Strahinja Savić is in production with Kreka, a documentary about the prominent Serbian production designer Miljen Klljaković Kreka. The doc features Johnny Depp, Barry Levinson, Vittorio Storaro, Emir Kusturica, Majid Majidi, Brian Helgeland, Slobodan Šijan, Goran Paskaljević, Goran Marković and Srđan Karanović, among others.

The shooting takes place in Belgrade, Budapest, Rome, Tehran and Los Angeles.

The film is produced by Jadranka Blanuša through Belgrade's Centar Film with the support of Film Center Serbia. The budget has not been disclosed.

Miljen Kljaković Kreka is the most respected Serbian production designer of his generation. He worked with various revered directors including Emir Kusturica, Jean-Pierre Jeneut, Uli Edel, Majid Majidi, Ademir Kenović, and several prestigious European awards rewarded his achievements.

The premiere is set for 2020, representatives of Centar Film told FNE.
