1. All matter is mad up of atoms which are indivisible and indestructible in nature
2. All atoms of a given element are identical in all properties
3. Atoms of different element physically or chemically mixed together create compounds
4. A chemical reaction is the result of atoms being joined, rearranged, or seperated
