1 Dez 494 Jahr - New Coin Minted Speaking Non-Chinese in Court Banned

Beschreibung:

The Northern Wei continued the early Cao-Wei practice of levying taxes in
grain and silk. New wuzhu coins were minted, but the dynasty refrained for
more than a century from issuing a new series. It was under Emperor Xiaowen
(r. 471–499), that the first Northern Wei coin, the taihe wuzhu, was released in
495 and the two coinages both circulated. Not coincidentally, by that time,
the court had already moved into the newly built capital at Luoyang

"Then, in quick succession, in 494, the
wearing of non-Chinese apparel was banned; in 495, the speaking of non-Chinese
languages was banned at court" Holcomb: The Xianbei in Chinese History pg. 26
