The Boston Tea Party was the political protest by the son of Liberty in Boston, Massachusetts, in December 16, 1773. There was people that were upset because of the Tea Act of May 10, 1773, that they allowed the British East India company to sell the tea from China the American colonies without paying the taxes on it, while colonists were charged tax when they purchased something by ordering of the Townshend Acts.
