1 Jan 451 Jahr - Nestorius
Beschreibung:
Nestorius of Constantinople (CE 386-451) was a bishop who notably began the Nestorian controversy that prompted the Council of Ephesus. His chief argument, which was ruled heretical in Ephesus, was that Mary, the mother of Jesus, should not be called Theotokos (God-bearer or mother of God) because the divine Son could not have been birthed. Rather, Mary must have given birth to a man that was united with God.
