The removal of the minemoney addon was a disaster for the economy. Everyone lost his money in a single moment and the scoreboard got removed. Nobody had a bank balance anymore. Because of this infinity was forced to add a new currency which was a very simple one:

1 emerald = 1$ (former minecoin)
