Curiosity was the largest and most powerful rover sent to Mars with the first video camera taken to another planet. The Curiosity rover filmed the first ever descent through Mars’ atmosphere in HD. This mission had four goals, to determine if life ever arose on Mars, to characterize the climate of Mars, to characterize the geology of Mars, to prepare for human exploration. The rover was succesful in its goals for over 5 years. Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Jet Propulsion Laboratory created this rover.
