The scientific branch that has been created does not have the full understanding that he does. They are trying to solve one problem: dealing with the waste. He sees the generation of poison waste as a problem. But at this point, most people want to continue this 'better' life. The energy source is now a real necessity and the wast products are a necessary biproduct of everyday life.
