6 Feb 1840 Jahr - The treaty of waitangi was signed on the 6th of February 1840 to declare peace between maori and pakeha. But that was not what happened the treaty was unfair because the pakeha wrote the treaty but didn't know maori very well so it got all mixed up and unfair.
