The drone Curiosity landed inside Gale Crater on 5 August, 2012. Curiosity's main science target on Mars is Mount Sharp. On 24 June, 2014, Curiosity completed one martian year which is 687 Earth days, during this time, he accomplished his main goal of determining if Mars once had an environment for microbial life. He found an old riverbed that would have had mild water, mud stone slabs and a type of chemical energy used by microbes on Earth. After this investigation, the answer was 'Yes".
