AM: I am the first person in my family generation to attend a University, specifically the high prestige of UC Berkeley. This is important as not my Latinos get the opportunity and higher opportunity and have to continue proving my spot in this type of instuite. I'm not only representing myself but my family and demonstrating what it's like to be a Mendiola.
