In about August 2020, a crazy tik tok challenge started going viral, the Benadryl challenge. The Benadryl challenge encourages teens to take 12-14 Benadryl to try to create hallucinations. But this is very dangerous. Doing this can cause many bad things to happen to you like organ damage, a coma, death, etc.

A 13-year-old boy decided to try this. He got his friends to film him doing it and he took a lot of Benadryl. Then his body freaked out and he had a seizure. He was taken to the hospital and was on a ventilator for six days then died. Please remember that even if it is an over-the-counter medication it is still dangerous. Any medication is dangerous if you overdose or do not follow the prescription. So please listen to your doctors and read the labels. There were other people that were hospitalized because of this challenge.
