D-DAY was the landing of Normandy beaches, 5 in total. U.S., British, and Canadians participated in the invasion of France Normandy. The beaches the Americans landed at were Omaha and Utah. The beaches the British landed at were Gold and Sword. And finally, the Canadian beaches were Juno. Total deaths for the Axis were 30,000 killed, 80,000 wounded, and 210,000 missing with Allied losses being a total of 45,000 killed and 173,000 wounded or missing.
