During the Vietnam War, the Vietcong was very sneaky. They were able to pull off many sneaky attacks. This was one of them, but it was more devastating than any other. Not only did it hurt the army, but it hurt the US public. All this time, they thought that the US was winning the war, but the Tet Offensive made them question that. This attack was very sneaky. They had it all planned out. When everybody was ready, and in position, they started popping up everywhere. The Vietcong tried to cause a lot of destruction, but the US army was stronger. The only thing that the Vietcong managed to do was hurt the US citizens' trust in what was actually happening in Vietnam. The Vietnam army kept up with the attacks till they lost too many people, then they retreated back. Ho Chi Min thought the attack would make the US military frustrated and maybe even have them withdraw from the. None of those things happened, though.
