Woodstock Music and Art Fair, more commonly known as Woodstock, was a huge music festival that lasted three days. Half a million people showed up for a few days of music and peace. At first, things seemed to be going okay, but due to bad planning and weather, things went south fast. Fences and ticket booths weren't finished being built by the time people started showing up. As more and more people showed up, it was nearly impossible to get everybody to pay. It soon became a free concert as people poured in through the gates and broke down the fences. The crowd was diverse, but people loved it. There were tons of famous bands and singers there including Jefferson Airplane, The Who, Canned Heat, Janis Joplin, Tim Hardin, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, The Rolling Stones and so many more. Woodstock changed the lives of so many Americans. So many memories were made in those four days. Surprisingly, there were no fistfights, despite all the people and the weather, all was happy at Woodstock.
