On Sep 30, 1941, Germany and the Soviet Union. Germany would've won it but the weather conditions made it hard to fight in winter so the Soviet Union won the battle. The Germans’ dead or wounded were 250,000 to 400,000 while the Red Army had 600,000 to 1,300,000 dead, wounded, or captured.
