My Father was born in Mexico City. He was the second of twelve children. He dropped school very early in life, so his education was limited. He grew up during the civil rights era in Mexico. He worked menial jobs all his childhood until he gained experience as a painter in an auto shop. He moved away from home when I was five but continued seeing us. He arrived in the Bay Area in 2002 to live with us. He passed away in San Francisco on August 16, 2020.
