Around the world there are a bunch of different time zones that change by an hour ahead every 18 km east. this proved to be an issue especially when trains were introduced because a train on opposite side of a track going at the same time as another train ofn the other side this change when north America stater to adopt standerdized time that does not change. other places in the world were slow to adopt this.
