In march of 1917, women of factories in Petrograd led a citywide strike about shortages of food and fuel. The soldiers later sided with the protesters as they were living in the same horrible conditions.
-This was a cause for the Russian Revolution because the people were unhappy with their living conditions and were not listened to by the government. This event caused Czar Nicholas II to step down from power and flee from the people.
