Hurricane Katrina

Hurricane Katrina barreled through the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama hitting New Orleans, Louisiana the hardest. It crushed the town, killing more than 2,000 people and displacing over 150,000. The hurricane was a category 3 on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale. Katrina brought 100-140 mile winds over 400 miles across.
