June 6, 1944, The Normandy Invasion, or D-Day, was a successful attempt to stop the Germans from spreading even more so. This invasion was from around 156,000 allies from America, Britain, and Canadian forces. The plan was to spread out over five different beaches on the coast of the France-Normandy region which had spread some fifty miles. The Allies had made a fake plan to try and confuse the Germans about where they were going to strike and how their plans were going to happen, which successfully tricked the Germans. This plan allowed the Allies to take back all of northern France. The Normandy Invasion is known as the beginning of the end of the war in Europe.
