All across the world, people called for military support and for all members of the subspecies to be killed and locked up - whether they had actually harmed anyone or not.

After countless demanding help from the government, an infant Department of Powered Safety and Protection is formed. With the military on their side, all Unnaturals (criminals or otherwise) are shot and rounded up to be detained. They will soon be experimented on and tortured to gather data about their powers, sometimes purposefully infected to develop cures for their non-powered siblings. The remaining uncaptured Unnaturals split further from the natural humans - forming a divide that will last for a long time.

Finally, there is peace - but it is built on the backs of the torture of and death of powered people. The “natural” people now will rebuild their society for the second time in less than 100 years, but the fear will never be forgotten and will be exaggerated by the Department of Powered Safety and Protection until all they know is their hatred towards those that are different than themselves.
