BIG's Ready to Die album is what caught his attention regarding music. He says it was like Big was sitting right next to him "kicking what had happened the night before". In the album , in an interview, someone aksed Big how he started rapping, he replied "I just had to get up off the streets". This is what got Curtis thinking abot making money from entertainment (or anything outside of drug dealing).

However, at this point, after buying a truck and two mountain bikes attached to it, he said "Life was good. You couldn't tell me I wasn't going to deal drugs my whole life".
