Off the coast of dark Alaska, the last son shapeshifts into the house in the ocean. The son says how guilty he feels for what he did I the Vietnam war. Lunarian cloud ship tries to convince him to become their king, and he refuses. He says he “was and always will have been a vessel for hate and destruction.” Meaning he believes no matter what people will try to use him for their own gain. The Lunarians force it on him, destroying the house and starting the transformation.
