At the age of 14, Jennifer was discovered by a talent scout while on a family trip to New York City. The talent scout asked to take a picture of her and proceeded to schedule auditions for her with agents. Her mother was originally against letting her pursue a career in acting but soon agreed under the condition that Jennifer finishes high school. Jennifer was eventually home-schooled in Los Angeles as she played a few minor roles in movies and TV Shows, such as "Company Town" (2006), "The Monk" (2006), and "Medium" (2007).
