After the pressure from the AMS, the Niam has setup a constitutional reforms committee in 1937 under the presidentship of Aravamudhu Ayyangar.

The AMS got divided into two groups on the report of the committee.

1) Moderates: Supporters of the report headed by మాడపాటి హనుమంత రావు


2) Extremists: Opposers of teh report led by రావి నారాయణ రెడ్డి.
