The Homestead strike was an industrial lockout, in order to prevent a striker from attending work. The owners planted fake strikers in the crowd in order to stop destruction, but this would also later backfire because the strikers and anti-strikers getting into altercations and killing few, but injuring many. This would go down in history as one of the major strikes in american history.
