Beschreibung:
The Coercive Acts, also called by the colonists as the Intolerable Acts, was a punishment by Parliament to Massachusetts for the Boston Tea Party, and a warning to any other colonies who considered rebelling against England. Firstly, Boston Harbor was shut down until the price for the tea that was dumped was paid, then the Massachusetts governor replaced their elected official with a person chosen by the King and had their legislature dissolved, and people had to allow military officials to live in their house (Quartering Act), and finally, had to give away some land to the colony Quebec (Quebec Act).
