1 Jan 1800 Jahr - Sten Nightstrewn's Arrival at Mávur (Stonebay)

Beschreibung:

Sten (real name Sorodin) Nightstrewn, a 'inhumanlike' man, arrived at Murkunhav at the turn of the century, early on in its Former Cycle (Cycle 0). In truth, he was one of the very few Silverblood-Human halfbloods that walked the lands. Hence his long period of reign.

Being a halfblood, his aging would not plateau about the time of his twenties but rather in a more elderly age, rendering him with the appearance of weatherworn man for about three centuries. He was born sometime on the 1600's, to parents whom would not dare sail eastwards with a newborn. It is said that it was his mother who bestowed upon him longevity, and that she yet lived hidden among the people of Valendir, mourning her lost loved ones.

He would study under several masons throughout the centuries, achieving thus a deeper and vaster understanding of the rock and how to shape and turn it to his liking than his peers ever could, at any given time. Being elderly of appearance (The outward appearance of the Silverblood-Human halfblood plateaus at about the mid-life seniority), none save for those closest to him suspected of his heritage, and those who knew him by who he truly was are now well buried, having taken the secret with them. In a time of duress for those who were not fully human, outing oneself as a halfblood of the exiled Silverbloods would have been the cause of great anguish and segregation, at least among the warm lands of Valendir. Sorodin would keep his secrets close to heart, tarrying throughout the ages with little interest shone upon himself.

Before sailing for the Southrealms his last great work had been working under the Staghorn's lordship to raise the Keep which would be given the name of the Maiden Doe, and much later the Staghorn Bastion. (He was about a hundred and forty when this happened)

He was forced into exile after the Crown in Sunrise deemed him traitorous for granting shelter to errant plainsmen in his abode on the City of Staghorn. Lady Aldine Staghorn, a close friend of his, told the man this, and that she was bestowing on him the chance to flee with his head on his shoulder still, which Sorodin took, boarding a trading vessel due for Mávur on the realm of the Concordance of Rebirth. He would swear unto himself that he would make a better living there.

Upon his arrival at the great port city, none would come to recognize him, and in making his way to the capital of Áendast he began to gather his bearing to exercise his profession as a master mason.

Years later, and after making himself yet again a man of renown by raising tenths of rock-etched, solid houses befit of a fortresses's keep, the King of the Concordance would summon him for an audience on account of having the need for a weathered mason to assess the structure of all the abandoned Vourenkinn strongholds yet to be occupied. Sten would tell the tale of his achievements, captivating the dryad king who, after some days of deliberation, chose to mantle him as his adviser, drawing the man to his close circle.
