9 Nov 1767 Jahr - Royal Proclamation Line
Beschreibung:
After the 7 Years’ war, it was declared no one was allowed to settle west of the Appalachian Mountains. This was to give Native Americans land so there wouldn’t be another war. Many colonists defied this rule and settled in the west. The Proclamation Line impacted the relations between colonists and Britain. This happened as many colonists felt it was their right to settle in the west. The colonists felt they fought the French and Indian war so they should have the right to settle on the land they earned. Many colonists had already settled west of this line so not allowing anyone else to settle west limited their possibilities and futures. Settling west was seen as destiny and a right for the colonists.
