With the controversial Presidential Election of 1822, the Yeskvog Conservative Party, already weak from creation of the Slavist Party, found itself split in half on ideology. As the more fervant and older Yeskvogs continued to hold up the support for national tariffs and a stronger government, the newer and younger Yeskvogs who modeled themselves as more Conservative and more Republican viewed that a more free economy and both a strong legislative and slightly weaker executive were the way of the future. What made the final split of the Yeskvog Conservative Party though were the canditates chosen by the older Yeskvogs compared to the younger ones. The Old Yeskvogs chose already incumbant Tsĩvgalè Rikjoert Ilcylnik for a second term and the younger Yeskvogs chose the younger and more active Kuepliot lawyer Dxasav Opnã.

While in the early 19th Century, Oipientian politics were mainly dominated by the Yeskvog party and its offspring, while in the mid 1800s the Oipientian Party of the Republic and its children began to further compete with the Yeskvogites. The other parties such as the Liberty Party and the Socialist parties began to gain influence in the early 1900s.
