This was a battle fought near Princeton, New Jersey during the Revolutionary War. The battle ended in a victory for the colonists. The commander for the colonists in this battle was George Washington and for the British, it was Charles Cornwallis. America had about 4,500 forces compared to Britain's 1,200. America had about 75 casualties and Britain had about 270. This battle is important because it showed the Americans that they actually had a chance to win the war after they defeated the British.
