EDMUND RICE TO THE ARCHBISHOP OF CASHEL.

This, the earliest extant letter of the Founder, was written in reply to a request for details of the Mt. Sion school system. It shows Edmund's commitment to the religious formation of his pupils and the advanced system of school management he had developed within a few years of the foundation of the Institute.
