Turkish Government makes a conscious effort to not include the Genocide in their schools’ curiculum and claim that violence took place due to WWI. They dispute that the Armenian death toll is far fewer at roughly 300,000. Unfortunately their tactics have worked and 91% of the Turkish population believes it never took place.
