In Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, Orville and Wilbur Wright made the first heavier than air machine to achieve a controlled, sustained flight with a pilot on board. While they were only to get a bit off the ground, this created the idea of internation and global flight and the idea of expirementing and inventing.
