The Woman Suffrage Movement was organized under the leadership of Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and other women's rights pioneers. Suffragists circulated petitions and lobbied Congress to pass a constitutional amendment to enfranchise women. This was significant because it represented the growing voice which women acquired, and another step for women to be recognized in the government. The Women's Suffrage Movement was influenced by the 15th Amendment, as women believed they deserved suffrage rights just as much as African Americans. It also relates to the Gettysburg Address by voicing opinions which weren't popular amongst the majority of Americans, mostly concerning human rights.
