Jack Merridew is introduced as the leader of a group known as The Choir then after every body is there “Piggy” is called fatty and Ralph exposes his secret even though the was asked not to then some of the boys decide they want a leader and they vote Ralph in even though Jack was already leader of the choir then Ralph, Jack, and one of the members of The Choir go exploring to find out what they can about the island
