With the three lifeboats, Shackleton and his crews arrive at Elephant Island. It was the first time they stepped on land in 497 days. Although the men were safer and more secure than before, since the beginning of the expedition, they couldn't communicate or get help from the outside world. Shackleton decided that he would have to travel to reach the outside world and save the team himself.
