Capt George Cooper commanding a company of Dragoons was to create a diversion near Charles Town while Col Harden attempted to stop British foragers on the Combahee in the Lowcountry. After a skirmish with Tories at Cypress Swamp, he drove off a herd of cattle from the British fort at Dorchester.
