James Russo is/was a long standing friend of Johnny Depp. (Mr Russo is still alive - past tense used due to the fact that many people named in the various court cases have been ultimately dropped from the Depp inner circle). He is best remembered as Bernie the New York book store owner in The Ninth Gate and as Walter Dietrich in Public Enemies. Exactly when he met Johnny is unclear.
